Madeleine is a General Psychologist, with availability to take new patients on Thursdays & Fridays.

Madeleine has a specific interest in the treatment of trauma-related presentations, including PTSD and C-PTSD (childhood trauma), attachment trauma, single-incident trauma, and distressing life experiences. Madeleine works with a range of disorders and symptoms such as PTSD, anxiety-related presentations, depression, ADHD, ASD, and emotionally challenging relationship dynamics. Madeleine assists clients in successfully navigating their mental health challenges by tailoring the therapeutic approach to their unique requirements. Using an empathetic and compassionate approach, Madeleine focuses on developing a strong therapeutic alliance whilst successfully identifying and navigating the client's past events and mental health challenges. 

Additionally, she offers comprehensive psychological assessment for all ages and presentations (e.g., ADHD, ASD, Personality, Cognitive).

Madeleine believes in a holistic method of encouraging physical and internal health, alongside a trauma-informed approach to therapy. Madeleine achieves client goals using evidence-based clinical treatments:

  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Ego State Therapy (Parts)
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness, Somatic Regulation techniques

Qualifications:

  • General Psychologist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Australian Psychological Society (APS) Member
  • Master's in Professional Psychology
  • Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Science (Psychology)
  • NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner

You can still book an appointment without a mental health treatment plan, just be sure to have one ready before your session to be eligible for rebates.
