Dr Pieter van Rensburg is an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. Pieter has dedicated his career to helping people navigate life’s toughest challenges.

Pieter’s commitment is to empower clients to spark change from within, often using motivational interviewing and other techniques to guide them through the healing process.

Treatment Approaches

Pieter’s approach to therapy is both compassionate and adaptable, drawing from decades of experience and a blend of therapeutic techniques. Starting with foundations in Rogerian and Psychodynamic approaches, he has evolved his practice to include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and contemporary, CBT-based models like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy (ST). He also incorporates insights from Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy, using a meaning-centered approach when it resonates with clients’ needs.
